Forces and Newton's Laws
Master Newton's three laws of motion and understand how forces cause objects to accelerate, decelerate, and change direction.
Gears, Pulleys & Belt Systems

Fluid Mechanics and Pressure
Learn how pressure works in fluids, understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems, buoyancy, and Pascal's principle.
About the Mechanical Comprehension Section
The Mechanical Comprehension (MC) section is one of the 9 subtests on the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). It covers simple machines, forces, energy, and mechanical advantage.
Your MC score contributes to composite line scores used by military branches to determine which jobs you qualify for. A higher MC score opens up more career options across the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Space Force.
Our 4 interactive lessons take you from fundamentals to test-ready mastery. Each lesson includes concept explanations, worked examples, and practice questions with instant feedback.
